Despite receiving conditional use permit approval from the Golden Valley City Council last fall, Plymouth-based Minnesota School of Basketball will not be moving.

The business had hoped to move into the warehouse on the 8000 block of 7th Avenue North in Golden Valley last year.

“The owner of the building in Golden Valley decided at the last minute that it was going to cost to much to get the building up to the codes that the city was asking him to do,” Brian Ammann, director of Minnesota School of Basketball told Patch in an email.

The basketball school currently operates in Plymouth and Apple Valley. The Golden Valley location would have replaced the Plymouth location on Xenium Lane North.

Minnesota School of Basketball “offers individual and group instruction for all levels of skills and all age groups,” according to their website.
