Ray went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. He was born Feb.19, 1936, with twin sister Shirley Mae to parents Ellen (Lankki) and Enard Johnson in Kingston, MN. He graduated from Litchfield H.S. 1954 and served in the U.S. Army. Ray graduated from St. Cloud State College and began teaching Industrial Arts in outstate Minnesota and Minneapolis Public Schools for a total of 32 years. Ray married Bonnie (Anderson) on June 9, 1962, and was proud to have recently celebrated 50 years together with their children and grandchildren.

He is survived by wife Bonnie; children Eric Johnson of CA, Kristi (David) Myllymaki of WA, Staci (Paul) Long and Jeni Johnson of MN; six grandchildren; sister Shirley Watson; and brother Rod (Dolly) Johnson.

Ray was a lifetime member of the Apostolic Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Master's Mission or the Lupus Foundation MN.  

Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Plymouth Apostolic Lutheran Church.
