What did you learn at the 2012 City Sampler?
Though attendance was slightly lower than previous years, there were families, friends and many others who gathered March 3 at Plymouth City Hall.
The City Hall was brimming with booths that highlighted many different aspects of the city, programs, activities and more available to residents.
CERT members were available to see how prepared you were in case disaster struck. Do you have an emergency kit with 2 gallons of fresh water, food and essentials? If you have pets, do you have a photo of them and you together if they get lost?
There were also small-scaled models of city parks equipment, how much equipment costs to have and maintain and what's available for reuse. Plymouth has donated playground equipment in the past through a special program.
You could also learn more about the new Allied Waste management recycling program that started this year, as well as talk to city staff about the annual tree and shrub sale going on now.
There was also a chance to enter into drawings for prizes like a fire truck ride to DQ, a police ride along, bike helmets, a coupon book and more.
