Allison Domingues of Robbinsdale Armstrong High School was selected as the 2012-2013 Girls Triple A winner from Region 6AA. Ranked first in her class with eleven Advanced Placement classes under her belt, Allison is also a National Merit Semi-Finalist; she has lettered in three sports (Cross country, Nordic ski and track) and is captain of two of them (Cross country and track); additionally, she is highly successful in band, orchestra, and marching band, having been named to All State Band and All State Orchestra. Allison is also a member of the school’s Link Crew.
Lucas Ray from Robbinsdale Cooper High School has been selected as the Boys Triple A winner from Region 6AA. Ranked in the top eight percent of his graduating class, Lucas is also involved in three sports (swimming, Cross country, and lacrosse), lettered in two (swimming and cross country), was captain of the swim team and has made All Conference in cross country. He is very involved in music as a member of three choirs, marching band and orchestra, and is highly successful in all of them; he has earned two letters in choir and Superior Ratings as a vocal soloist at the Region 6AA State Solo and Ensemble contest two years in a row, and lettered twice in Orchestra and received a rating of Excellent for his solo at the Region 6AA State Solo and Ensemble Contest.
The purpose of the MSHSL Triple A program is to recognize and honor high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts. Recipients of this award are selected through a multi-level process involving member schools of the MSHSL and its administrative regions, and a special committee of educators, business leade3rs, and members from the fine arts and athletic communities.
