Officer-Involved Shooting Affects Wayzata Schools Traffic

The Wayzata School District sent an alert out noting traffic around schools is slower due to the incident.

State Patrol shut down I-394 near Hopkins Crossroad in Minnetonka following an officer-involved shooting Thursday afternoon, said Lisa Kiava, spokewoman for the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.

As schools let out in the Wayzata School District, officials sent out an alert to the community noting traffic around schools in Plymouth and Wayzata was slower than usual.

The message from Wayzata Public Schools Transportation Department said, " Due to a police incident on 394 earlier this afternoon, traffic in and around our district is slower than normal. Because of this, there is a potential that buses may be delayed in returning students to homes at the end of the school day."
