Treatment For Wayzata Schools' Lawns, Playfields

You don't want to be on the lawns or play fields of Wayzata School District buildings next week.

Lots going on as Wayzata School District gets ready to go back to school this fall including outside field work.

The lawns and play fields at all sites in the district will be treated with a weed and feed product a week from today Friday, Aug. 17, through Sunday, Aug. 19, and Friday, Aug. 24 through Sunday, Aug. 26.

A licensed, professional company will treat lawn areas at the Administration Building, Central Services Facility, Birchview Elementary, Gleason Lake Elementary, Greenwood Elementary, Kimberly Lane Elementary, Oakwood Elementary, Plymouth Creek Elementary, Sunset Hill Elementary, Central Middle School, East Middle School, West Middle School and at Wayzata High School.

Although the fields can be used shortly after treatment, any person with sensitivity or allergies to these products should take precautions.

Specific information may be obtained at each school or at the Central Services Facility. If you have additional questions or concerns please contact Central Service Facility at 763-745-5150.

(Information provided by a Wayzata School District press release.)
