Now that official countdown to Christmas has begun with lighted houses and decorations galore, it's time to get that Christmas tree. Whether you get a real tree or an artificial one there are lots of places around town to get that perfect one.

• Dundee Nursery and Landscaping offers a variety of Christmas trees including the most popular Fraser Fir. Watch for details for Santa's visit in the coming weeks.

• Bachmans offers an assortment of Fraser Firs and if you aren't able to make it out to get your tree they offer online purchase and metro delivery.

• Lawn King in nearby Corcoran: Not only do they offer an assortment of real trees but they also serve candy canes and cocoa and are the only local option for tree "flocking". They can do a variety of different colors and will then bag the tree for transport home.

• Rum River Tree Farms has three convenient Plymouth locations to choose from for a fresh cut tree: Rainbow Foods on the northside of Hwy 55, Rainbow Foods at 494 and Rockford Road and Perl Landscapes 1/4 mile south of 55 on Hwy 101. Check their website for a coupon before visiting.

• For those who don't want a real tree and instead prefer the convenience of an artificial tree, both Home Depot and Target offer a wide variety of artificial trees. They range in size and price, some come pre-lit.
