Woman Dies of Injuries Sustained in Monday Crash

A 59-year-old woman from Howard Lake who died from injuries she sustained in a Monday morning car accident has been identified.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner reports Roxanne Scheer died Monday night at North Memorial Medical Center, about 12 hours after she was involved in an crash at the intersection of Highway 55 and County Road 101 in Medina.

Initial reports compiled by the Minnesota State Patrol indicate Scheer drove through the intersection against a red light just after 8:20 a.m. Monday, broadsiding a Lexus sedan driven by 50-year-old Howard Buff of Medina.

Buff, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
