2013 Road Construction Projects in Plymouth
Take a look at four upcoming road construction projects in the area.
The snow is still on the ground but the city of Plymouth is already planning this year's road construction projects. There are four projects on the docket this year.
The following list, according to the city of Plymouth website, gives you a quick look at the purpose of the project, which streets are effected and how long construction will take.
Trunk Highway 55 Frontage Road Reconstruction

- Where: Trunk highway 55 frontage road between West Medicine lake Drive to South Shore Drive
- Project details: Move the intersection of the frontage road several hudred feet away from 55, repave the road, replace surface layers, install curb and gutter, improve drainage
- Schedule: If approved, construction will begin this spring
- Time to complete: 2 months
Sagamore Street Reconstruction
- Where: Streets near Sagamore Apartments including 43rd Avenue, Trenton Avenue and Revere Lane south of 45th Avenue
- Project details: Repave road, replace bottom layers, install curb and gutter, improve drainage
- Schedule: If approved, construction will start in late spring
- Time to complete: 2 months
Deerwood Glen and Swan Lake Edge Mill and Overlay

- Where: Deerwood Glen, Sunrise Hill, Zachary Heights, Rolling Hills Park 2nd, Woodlands, Swan Lake, Schmidt Lake West, Creekwood Hills, West Medicine Lake Terrace and adjacent neighborhoods
- Project details: Strip and repave road, improve curb and gutter, fix utilities
- Schedule: If approved, construction will begin in the summer
- Time to complete: 2 months
Creekside of Plymouth Edge Mill and Overlay
- Where: Streets in the Creekside of Plymouth, Garrison Parkbrooke, Parkview Ridge and adjacent neighborhoods
- Project details: Strip and repave road, improve curb and gutter, fix utilities
- Schedule: If approved, construction will begin in the summer
- Time to complete: 2 months
Dunkirk Lane Mill and Overlay
- Where: Dunkirk Lane from County Road 6 to Medina Road
- Project details: Strip and repave road, improve curb and gutter, fix utilities
- Schedule: If approved, construction will begin in the summer
- Time to complete: 1 month
