Annual Plymouth 'Skate Jam' Competition July 20

The City of Plymouth will host a “Skate Jam” competition from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Plymouth Skate Park in Plymouth Creek Park, 3625 Fernbrook Lane.

 The city has partnered with Golden Valley-based 3rd Lair Skatepark & Skateshop to host the annual Summer Series skate competition; 10 other cities also host events for the series throughout the summer.

During the competition, participants – ages 4 to 16 – will be divided into three divisions based upon their skill level and prizes will be awarded to the top division winners.

Registration will be held the day of the event; there is no cost to register. The event is free and open to the public.

The Plymouth Skate Park is open from 9 a.m. to sunset daily. Admission is free. The skate park provides skateboarders and in-line skaters a variety of ramps and rails.
