Back to School: iPads For Students in the Wayzata School District

Backpacks could be lighter for some students who are able to use iPads in the classroom and at home.

About 3,700 students in the Wayzata School District are using iPads to enhance their learning at school and at home.

Thanks to a $2.9 million technology levy passed in 2009, the district was able to put iPads in the hands of its students in grades 6-9 this year. They get to use the technology at school and at home and elementary students are able to use iPads in the classroom only. The district hopes to have iPads for all of its students in the district in the near future, reports Channel 12.
