New Business: HiLife Wellness Club Opens in Plymouth

Owner: We bring together "people who want to focus on good nutrition and regular exercise in order to achieve optimum good health."

A new business with a healthy outlook recently opened in Plymouth.

HiLife Wellness Club opened in November 2012 near the Mann Theatre and Cub Foods – located at 15705 35th Ave. N. in Plymouth. It is the first location for owners Katy Bloomquist and Chelsea Janke have opened together.

“HiLife is a nutrition club. We are a social club bringing together people who want to focus on good nutrition and regular exercise in order to achieve optimum good health,” said Bloomquist. “We offer delicious healthy meals that are fast but a good alternative to other fast food.”

The business offers several Herbalife options for patrons, which both owners have used to lose weight themselves.

“I fell in love with this company and products after achieving great results,” Bloomquist. “I have lost 50 pounds, and with the good nutrition my body feels much better than it has in years, allowing me to do triathlons and be much more active.”

In addition to a meal alternative, Bloomquist said HiLife Wellness Club offers weight loss challenges where participants can lose weight and win cash, wellness profiles, individualized coaching and fit challenges. 

“Our focus is the serve the community by providing the best nutrition, weight management education and products in the world,” according to the HiLife Wellness Club website.  

Growing up in Plymouth, Janke introduced the community to Bloomquist as a possible site for their new business.

“I loved the area,” Bloomquist said. After less than a year of planning, the Plymouth location opend on Nov. 12, 2012.

For those interested in checking out HiLife, the wellness profile and samples to first time visitors are free. Prices vary thereafter.

Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday; 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday; most Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment. Similar to a coffee shop, HiLife also has free Wifi and a seating area.
