New Lucky's 13 Restaurant: No. 6 Post of 2012

Largest-Sized Lucky 13's Pub Opens in Plymouth

Axel's Bonfire may have closed its location at 3000 Harbor Lane in Plymouth this summer, a new restaurant has already opened in its place.

Lucky's 13 Pub opened Nov. 12 with daily features, happy hour, live music on weekends and Bingo twice a week. 

This is the third Lucky's 13 location in the state. The other locations are Bloomington and Mendota. Its last, most recent location was in September 2011 in Fargo.

The new location is right next to the Comfort Inn, near Interstate 494 and Hwy 55, right off Fernbrook Lane.

General Manager Cristi Anderson said the location was good to have a Lucky's on the west side of the metro. She worked at the Mendota location previously.

"This is the largest Lucky's to date," Anderson said. "We have a large, extensive menu with around 100 different items to please just about everyone. We have a great outdoor patio and bar with a fire pit also."

The place has the capacity for about 350 inside and another 150 on the patio. Being with the Comfort Inn, Lucky's 13 is the hotel's official caterer for events hosted there.

Anderson describes the atmosphere as an "American pub that's very warm and cozy."

She anticipates that the weekends will pick up as live music and entertainment will be Friday and Saturday evenings, bingo on Wednesdays and Fridays and all day Happy Hour on Sundays. Other daily drink and food specials are also sure to entice customers.

Lucky's 13 restaurant owners are Linda Young and Charlie Burroughs, who started the Axel's restaurants as well as Rudy's Red Eye restaurants and Me & Julio.

The Plymouth location has about 100 part-time employees hailing from across the metro.

Lucky 13's motto has been and continues to be "Where strangers become friends and friends become family."
