Woody's Grille in Plymouth Gets Remodeled, New Ownership

Woody's Grille closed on November 5 for a week of remodeling. The new and improved restaurant including some new menu additions launched on November 12.

With new ownership in place since August, Woody's Grille, located off of Carlson Parkway in Plymouth, closed for a week of remodeling and renovations.

General Manager Garrick Fultes said a half wall was knocked out to expand the bar area initially.

"There is a lot of happy hour business and it tended to get pretty crowded before," Fultes said.

In addition to the bar expansion, the floors were refinished and coated, the bartop and table tops were also refinished and finally the walls were painted. Booths were added to both the bar area and the restaurant area.

"We ripped out all of the carpeting in the dining room and replaced it," Fultes said.

The purpose of the remodel was to make the bar and restaurant more casual. To help with that several more television sets were added to both the bar and restaurant area.

The restaurant has the Woodshed, a private dining room that seats up to 40 people. That part wasn't touched at all during the remodel, but with new ownership Woody's plans to continue using the space.

In fact, that room hosts several business meetings and holiday gatherings this time of year so the timing of the remodel was meant to work around that so customers could see the new bar and restaurant and also try some new menu items.

Some of the new additions to the menu include: more steaks and burgers, ribs, several new appetizers and salads.

Woody's Grille is open everyday and while it's connected to Country Inn and Suites the two businesses are not affiliated.
