After a mysterious illness took the life of 8-year-old on July 26, many have gathered to remember her and honor her life. More than 700 people came to her Celebration of Life ceremony Aug. 9 at . A garage sale to benefit the Weidinger family who incurred high medical bills in treating Amara was Aug. 18 in Plymouth.

Barry Pankonin of Plymouth died in a motorcycle accident near his Plymouth home Aug. 21. An investigation was launched and continues on what happened, but no other vehicles or people were involved in the incident. The off-duty Fridley Police officer had a funeral service Aug. 26 to remember the well liked and respected man.

Thefts and tampering of vehicles as well as prostitution continue to plague areas of Plymouth. In August, police about protecting yourself from having your car or home broken into.

Alan Jacob McMullen's death was ruled a suicide. His body was found Sunday, July 29, in the Minnesota river in Savage. His funeral was held Aug. 6  at New Hope Church in New Hope.

The new restaurant is set to open Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the location where Joe Senser's used to be on County Road 24 and Highway 55.
