Wayzata Family Learning Center Plans Summer Programs

The Family Learning Center is located in Central Middle School at 305 Vicksburg Lane, Plymouth.

The Wayzata Public Schools Family Learning Center has planned its summer programming which includes the following offerings. To register, visit www.wayzata.k12.mn.us/flc or call 763-745-5290. The Family Learning Center is located in Central Middle School at 305 Vicksburg Lane, Plymouth.

  • BLOCK Time – Prepaid slots will be available Monday through Friday from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. and Monday through Thursday from noon to 2:30 p.m. Families should reserve the same time each week. Children ages 16-months-old to 5-years-old will play, learn and have fun giving parents some free time.

  • Spanish ‘Round the World – Each day classes will “travel” to a different Spanish-speaking country to discover its foods, culture, dance, crafts and animals. This class meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday from May 20 through may 24 and is for children age 42-months-old as of May 20, 2013.

  • Camp Peppermint Fence – “Campers” will run through sprinklers on Water Day, read the best stories ever, play with new friends, conduct amazing science experiments and move closer to kindergarten readiness. This class meets from 9 to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays May 28 through June 27 for children age 2- to 5-years-old as of September 1, 2012.

Princesses Rock! This program is for children ages 42-months-old as of May 29, 2013 and offers the opportunity to dress up, design jewelry and crowns, read stories about clever and strong princess, dance and practice good manners at tea parties. Children will also climb, jump rope, pedal bikes and play games. The program meets from 9 a.m. to noon on five Wednesdays, May 29 through June 26.
