Home Alone Workshop for Children

The Plymouth Police and Fire departments will host a “Home Alone” workshop for children ages 8-10 from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19 in the Plymouth Public Safety Building, second-floor training room, 3400 Plymouth Blvd.

The workshop will teach children how to respond in the event of an emergency while they’re home alone. Plymouth police officers and firefighters will work interactively with participants to discuss a variety of scenarios and issues, including dialing 911, crime prevention in the home, severe weather awareness, scalds and burns, home fire escape plans, Internet safety and cyber bullying.

Cost is $5 for each child. Class size is limited to 30 participants; early registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, call 763-509-5200. Online registration is also available (course No. 43794).

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
