Businesswoman Dies at Age 86

Gladys Nadine Colpitts had lived in Plymouth since 1996.

Longtime Plymouth resident Gladys Nadine Colpitts died peacefully Monday at the age of 86, according to a Thursday Washburn-McReavy obituary.

Colpitts was born in Buhl, ID, on April 4, 1927 and grew up in Spokane, WA. She graduated from Washington State University in 1949 with a degree in business and economics. She then spent the next 32 years pursuing a career in business, primarily in human resources.

After she retired in 1981, she and her husband, Don, moved to Cave Bay, ID, where they lived for 15 years. Colpitts moved to Plymouth in 1996 after her husband died.

She was preceded in death by her brother, sister and two grandchildren. She is survived by another brother, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Messiah United Methodist Church (17805 County Road 6, Plymouth). Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
