Former Aerospace Engineer From Plymouth Passes Away at 87
A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 12 at Wayzata Community Church.
Plymouth resident David L. Mellen passed away quietly at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Aug. 2 at the age of 87.
According to his obituary on Legacy.com, Mellen enjoyed a long career at Honeywell as an aerospace engineer, contributing to the development of the space program. In addition, he was a long time member of Wayzata Community Church and a Shriner.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E Wayzata Blvd. in Wayzata. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 at Wayzata Community Church.
