Long-time Wayzata Schools Educator Dies at Age 76

Barbara A. (Henle) Herbeck, 76, of Plymouth died Friday, June 7, 2013. 

Herbeck was born Dec. 7, 1936. She was born in Minneapolis and raised in New Ulm. She passed away June 7 from a short illness.

Incredible wife, mother, grandmother and transformative teacher/educator and Director of Special Education in the Wayzata School District for 35-plus years and private tutor for 50-plus years until March 2013.

Preceded in death by parents, Norbert and Rose (Gacek) Henle.

Survived by devoted husband of 55 years, Don; daughter, Mary (Jerry) Kashmark; son, John Herbeck; granddaughter, Greta Herbeck; grandson, Noah Herbeck; brother, Mike (Mary) Henle; nephew, James Henle and many wonderful cousins, dear friends and former students.
