Obituary: Steve Rukavina of Plymouth

Visitation and memorial service is Monday, Sept. 24, at St. Joseph Parish Center in New Hope.

Steve Rukavina, 83, of Plymouth passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012. He was born Aug. 20, 1929.

He is survived by wife of 56 years, Mary; children, Tom, Sue Johnson and John; grandchildren, Kristi and Tony Johnson; brothers, George and Karl; sister-in-law, Sue Abel and husband Dick; and many other family members and friends.

Steve was a teacher in District 281 for 30 years. Having been born and raised in Ely, "The coolest little town in Minnesota", Steve always enjoyed the lake country.

Private interment is at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to Sharing and Caring Hands.  

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at St. Joseph Parish Center,
3600 Boone Ave North in New Hope. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. on the same day and in the same location.

I stared collecting Teddy BearsRead More after we started dating and he sang the Teddy Bear song on my voice mail (by Elvis Presely)over 20 years ago he is the most soft gentle huggable man so I always call him my Teddy Bear. So my collection had gotten too big and I would love to share with others who may need something soft to hug
