Dear Friends of the Wayzata School District:

I am writing to support and endorse Chris McCullough for Wayzata School Board.  I so hope residents make every effort to not only vote on Tues., Nov. 5, but to educate yourselves on the candidates.  I hope to help by posting my letter to the editors of our local papers below.  Please read on and get to know Chris.  Then, join me in voting for Chris McCullough on Tues., Nov. 5th!

Chris McCullough, Wayzata School Board Candidate, shows passion and true dedication to our incredible school district (staff, students and citizens).  This is a critical and exciting time to live in the Wayzata District.  There are upcoming challenges and decisions that will require level-headed thinking and open-mindedness.  I have no doubt that if elected; Chris will serve our district with steadfast fairness and transparency with a balanced and grounded approach.

I have always known of Chris’ complete commitment to his family; especially to his two daughters.   Having known Chris and his family for close to 10 years, it is one of the traits I admire most about him.  Whether it was seeing him almost weekly at Birchview Elementary volunteering doing “math tubs” with my son who shared the same kindergarten class with his daughter, or our shared experiences as we served on the Wayzata Family Learning Center Advisory Board when our children were toddlers, or working with him during countless other volunteer opportunities at both locations…I would see the dedication.  He serves in these capacities and numerous others (Citizens Financial Advisory Committee, Facilities Task Force, Birchview Site Council) to make sure his daughters see how much he values their education and surroundings and to also teach them what it really means to serve others.  Joining the Wayzata School Board is the greatest way Chris can serve our district.  Through the myriad avenues in which he has served, he has the knowledge and background.

Knowing of the upcoming pivotal times ahead for the district, I am assured that Chris not only has the heart and strong desire to serve the district but he holds incredible qualities of a strong leader.  He is always open-minded.  I am thankful for his level-headed means of processing issues and making sure to ask the right questions and contemplate all the scenarios.  He is fair.  He is transparent.  He is balanced.  He is a true asset to our district.  Chris knows Wayzata.  He knows what it means to serve.
