Vote for Sarah Johansen for Wayzata School Board

I have served with Sarah Johansen as a member of the Legislative Action Committee and worked along side Sarah as Co-chair.  I believe she will be an excellent addition to the Wayzata School Board.

Sarah’s passion is Wayzata Public Schools and she volunteers tirelessly both in her children’s classrooms and in leadership positions on various committees.  As Chair of the LAC Sarah showed leadership and governance in leading the meeting, coordinating the platform development, and addressing the concerns of our diverse group of parent representatives and School Board members.

Sarah demonstrated a commitment to collaboration and compromise in working with our 9 member bi- partisan legislative delegation.

Sarah is well respected by committee members, district staff, board members and our legislators.   Through her work on the LAC for the past 5 years, she has demonstrated the skills and commitment to consistently do what’s best for Wayzata.  The work of the LAC has been challenging at times, however, Sarah was ready and willing to jump in and address the issues straight on.

Sarah was very active in LAC efforts to obtain early entrance into the alternative facilities – which has allowed our district to make necessary building improvements- and the lease levy legislation- which allowed the districts to make practical and fiscally responsible space adjustments.

As a parent of two Wayzata students, I trust that Sarah has the courage and commitment to do what is best for our students.  As a fellow volunteer, I have seen first hand that Sarah has the knowledge and experience to be a valuable board member.
