Vote Sarah Johansen for Wayzata School Board

Dear Wayzata Residents,

I am writing to endorse and support Sarah Johansen in her quest to run as a candidate for the Wayzata School Board.

For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with Sarah on the Wayzata Family Learning Center (WFLC) Parent Advisory Committee. During this time, Sarah’s ability to get involved and make a difference was evident in her role as the Advisory Chair and as a Sub-Committee member. She has shown the ability to work with committee members to address the situation and help them work to a solution and I’ve seen first had her commitment to making the WFLC the best early childhood learning experience possible.

Based on this experience and getting to know Sarah over these years, I feel she will present a strong balanced voice for our children’s best interest as well as that of our district.  In this time of unprecedented growth in attendance, the Board needs members that will weigh the competing needs of the communities it serves.  I know Sarah has the commitment, knowledge and passion to meet these issues and lead our district into the future.

Sarah shows the knowledge needed to meet with legislators head on to address the needs of our students.  This passion to serve the students and parents of our community has brought her to this point.  Sarah will be an asset to our district as she is a leader with the qualities that we need and more importantly, a parent dedicated to the education needed by every student, including her own, who attends a school in district 284.

As the current Advisory Chair, I have learned from Sarah and feel I have big shoes to fill.  However, I am proud to have had the opportunity to have volunteered with her and consider her a friend who will make a valued addition to the Wayzata School Board.

I support Sarah Johansen for Wayzata School Board.
