Elk River Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 16-year-old girl that has been missing for more than two weeks.

According to KMSP and other news outlets, Johanna Thomsen, who also responds to JoJo, J and Jo, left her parents home the night of Feb. 11.

The family believes they have received electronic messages from the girl, but her whereabouts aren't known. She was last seen in the area of 36th Avenue North and Highway 169 in Plymouth in the afternoon hours of Feb. 12.

A Facebook site has been set up by the family of Johanna Thomsen, asking for any information about the 16-year-old's whereabouts.

The Elk River Police Department is taking any tips. They can be reached at 763-635-1260.
