Crews from neighboring agencies of Wayzata, Golden Valley and Minnetonka worked for the next several hours containing the fire to the kitchen and attic area of the home. But it is not inhabitable for the family at this time. The Red Cross will be helping the family for the time being.

"The police report said that the fire originated in the kitchen and it was a cooking fire," Kuklok said. "Police were on the scene until about 3:30 p.m."
