A five-alarm fire broke out at the complex this morning. Some witnesses were pointing to a faulty air conditioner.

Multiple fire departments have contained a blaze that has gutted an apartment complex in Plymouth Friday morning.

Reports of the blaze broke around 4 a.m. The three-story fire spurred a five-alarm call, stating flames and smoke were effecting upper levels of the apartment complex. Witnesses also told media outlets it may have started from an air conditioning unit, according to Plymouth Fire Chief Michael Goldstein, who briefed media members on the scene around 7 a.m.

Residents will be displaced by the blaze. No one was injured. A few residents were examined by first responders for inhalation at the scene, but refused treatment.

The complex, located at Rockford Road and Vicksburg in Plymouth, has 62 units.
