Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Drinking Party, School Fight and Missing Jewels

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Plymouth Police Department between April 6 and April 10. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Liquor

Police made 19 arrests April 6 after discovering a large underage drinking party on the 5300 block of Norwood Lane. Those arrested ranged in age from 15 to 19 and were from Plymouth, Minneapolis, Maple Grove and Minnetonka. Police were originally called to the scene on a report of a disturbance in the area.

Motor Vehicle Theft

A victim’s car broke down April 4 in a parking lot on the 9800 block of Sheland Parkway and arrangements were made to have the vehicle towed for scrap. When the tow company arrived on scene, the vehicle was gone.

Burglary

Jewelry valued at approximately $400 was reported stolen April 6 from a residence on the 4000 block of Lancaster Lane. No sign of forced entry was observed.

Police were called to the 3900 block of Lancaster Lane just before 10:15 p.m. April 10 on a report of gasoline theft from an underground garage. Suspects were located, but the victim did not wish to press charges.

Controlled Substance

An 18-year-old Plymouth man was cited for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle and drug paraphernalia April 5 after an officer checked on a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on the 700 block of County Road 101. The citation was issued just before midnight.

A student was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia April 5. The student was cited and suspended from school.

Criminal Damage to Property

A car window was smashed on the 3300 block of Hwy. 169 April 6.  Nothing was missing from the vehicle, but six other cars were also damaged. Police responded to the scene just before 2 p.m.

Two juvenile females were cited for disorderly conduct after fighting in school April 8. Officers responded to the 10000 block of 36th Avenue North just after 8 a.m.

DWI

A 58-year-old man from Minnetonka was arrested just before 4:30 a.m. April 6 near the intersection of Hwy. 55 and Niagara Lane and arrested for DWI. Initial field sobriety tests indicated a blood alcohol level of .08.

Fraud

A credit card was left at a restaurant on the 4100 block of Vinewood Lane in Plymouth April 9 and subsequently used at three different locations. The case remains under investigation.

Juvenile Curfew

Three juveniles were cited for curfew violation just before 1:30 a.m. April 7 after police conducted a traffic stop on the 12500 block of 54th Avenue North.

Theft

A victim on the 12400 block of 46th Avenue North reported a theft by check in the amount of $1,400. The incident occurred April 9.

A resident on the 14300 block of 34th Avenue reported cash in the amount of $212 was stolen from her residence during a house party.

Electronics valued at $800 were reported missing from an apartment on the 15700 block of Rockford Road April 8. The victim found the front door unlocked.
