Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Drug Bust, Stolen Jewels and an Appliance Heist

Information provided by the Plymouth Police Department and believed accurate.

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by Plymouth police officers between March 14 and March 20. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Burglary

Electronics and jewelry valued at nearly $5,000 was reported stolen March 20 from a residence on the 14300 block of 38th Avenue North. A window was broken to gain access to the home. The case remains under investigation.

Complainant reported around 1 a.m. March 17 that a rock was thrown through the window of a commercial property on the 4300 block of Vicksburg Lane. An unsuccessful attempt was reportedly made to steal a flat-screen television. Loss limited to damaged window.

Unknown suspects stole appliances March 18 from a house under construction on the 16400 block of 59th Place North. Flooring was also damaged when the appliances were removed. Estimated loss is unavailable. The incident was reported around 7:30 a.m.

Controlled substance

A narcotics search warrant executed on the 15500 block of 26th Avenue North just after 1:15 p.m. March 20 led to the arrest of three suspects for narcotics offenses—including a 38-year-old female and a 45-year-old male from Plymouth.

A 19-year-old male from Plymouth was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after officers stopped his vehicle just before 2 p.m. March 15 for an equipment violation on the 3200 block of Vicksburg Lane.

A 28-year-old female from Maple Grove was cited around 10:!5 p.m. March 14 for illegal possession of a hypodermic needle. The citation was issued following a traffic violation near the intersection of Larch Lane North and Old Rockford Road.

Counterfeit

A business on the 11000 block of Hwy. 55 reported receiving a counterfeit bill March 15 at 8 p.m.

Disorderly conduct

Police were called for two juvenile males engaged in a fight inside a school on 36th Avenue. The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. March 15, and no charges will be pursued.

An officer responded to a report of a disorderly female March 18 on the 4500 block of Nathan Lane North. Upon arrival, neither party wanted to pursue charges. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m.

Police were called to a hotel on the 2600 block of Annapolis Lane March 20 for a report of a customer causing problems. No other information is available.

Domestic Assault

A 33-year-old male was arrested March 16 after officers were told that he held down a female and prevented her from calling 911. The suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive, but he was soon located and arrested. The incident occurred on the 1800 block of County Road 101 at 3:15 a.m.

DWI

A 45-year-old male from Coon Rapids was arrested just after 5 a.m. March 15 after officers responded to a property damage automobile accident near the intersection of County Road 6 and Hwy. 55. Test results indicated a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit.

False information

A 23-year-old Plymouth man was arrested just before 7 p.m. March 15 when officers attempted to make a warrant arrest on the 6100 block of Vicksburg Lane. The individual gave officers a false name, and he was arrested for both the warrant offense and giving false information.

Fleeing

Police responded to a 911 hang up on the 17600 block of 27th Avenue North at 8 p.m. March 16. Upon arrival officers determined a verbal assault had occurred, and the suspect was attempting to flee out a window. He was arrested for both an outstanding warrant and fleeing police.

Forgery

A resident on the 18200 block of 23rd Avenue North reported March 19 that checks had been forged on his account. The case remains under investigation.

Officers took a March 14 report of a forged check in the amount of $435 from a resident on the 14000 block of 48th Avenue North.

Vehicle theft

Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred sometime during the overnight between March 14 and March 15. The theft took place on the 3500 block of Hwy. 169. No other information is available.

Theft

The window of a car was smashed March 18 on the 3200 block of Vicksburg Lane, and the victim reported a bag valued at $250 was stolen.

The window of a car was smashed March 14 on the 3300 block of Harbor Lane North, and the victim reported a bag and contents valued at $400 was stolen.

A resident on the 1900 block of Shenandoah Lane reported jewelry valued at more than $6,700 was stolen from her residence. No sign of forced entry was observed, and the case remains under investigation.

An iPod valued at $326 was reported stolen March 15 from a locker on the 16800 block of 12th Avenue North.

Officers responded to a report of a stolen lighter on the 3000 block of Fernbrook Lane March 19. The lighter was valued at $1.69, and the victim did not wish to pursue charges.

A cell phone of unknown value was reported stolen March 20 from a classroom on the 10600 block of 36th Avenue North.
