Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Prostitution, Stolen Handgun and Arrest of a 12-year-old

The following are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Plymouth Police Department between March 21 and March 28. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Prostitution:

A 27-year-old Minneapolis woman was arrested March 21 at a hotel on the 2900 block of Empire Lane North. The arrest was the result of an investigation into possible prostitution activity at the hotel. The arrest occurred just before 6:30 p.m.

Theft:

A resident on the 12400 block of 18th Avenue reported a handgun was stolen from their residence during a party. The report was received a little after 9:30 a.m. March 27.

Assault:

Police arrested a 38-year-old Minneapolis man for assault after witnesses said he and another motorist exchanged punches near the intersection of 42nd Avenue North and Hwy. 169. The fight occurred just after 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.

Burglary:

A door was forced open on the 3700 block of Archer Lane North March 25. Police responded to the call at about 3:15 p.m., and loss is unknown.

A homeowner on the 3000 block of Hwy. 169 reported March 25 that an unknown suspect entered the residence and stole electronics and tools. The case remains under investigation.

Theft of an ice house and auger from a garage storage locker was reported March 25 on the 15400 block of 18th Avenue North.

Damage to property:

A victim called police to a residence on the 3000 block of Harbor Lane North just after 8:30 a.m. March 23 to report slashed tires on her vehicle.

A man called police to the 5600 block of Trenton Lane to report his truck was damaged overnight by a golf club that was left at the scene. Damage estimates are unknown.

A 23-year-old Zimmerman man was arrested for disorderly condoct and obstructing the legal process March 26 near the intersection of Urbandale Lane North and County Road 24. Police originally responded to the location just before 7:30 p.m. on a report of an intoxicated individual.

A male student was arrested March 22 for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice. Location involved was on the 10600 block of 36th Avenue.

Domestic Assault

A juvenile female and a juvenile male were both arrested for assault March 23 just before 9 p.m. Ages of the juveniles were 14 and 12. Officers responded to the location on the 6100 block of Vicksburg lane on a report of a physical altercation. No other information is available.

A 36-year-old Coon Rapids man was arrested for domestic assault March 23 on the 10700 block of Rockford Road. Police responded to the location on a report of physical altercation just after 3:15 p.m.

A 45-year-old man from Lancaster, MN, was arrested for domestic assault March 26 on the 3900 block of Lancaster Lane. Police were called to the location just before 3 a.m.

Police were called to a hotel on the 2700 block of Annapolis Lane just after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 24, on a report of domestic assault. Suspect had fled the scene by the time police arrived, but formal complaint charges are pending.

Police made the following arrests for DWI:

  • March 26 at 2:04 a.m. at the intersection of 43rd Avenue North and Fernbrook Lane. Suspect is a 26-year-old male from Hopkins.
  • March 23 at 9:50 a.m. near the intersection of Northwest Boulevard and Schmidt Lake Road. Suspect is a 62-year-old male from Plymouth.
  • March 23 at 12:21 a.m. near the intersection of Fernbrook Lane North and County Road 6. Suspect is a 57-year-old female from Maple Grove.

Vehicle Theft

A snowmobile and trailer were reported stolen March 24 on the 5500 block of Hwy. 169. Value is estimated at more than $10,000, and the case remains under investigation.
