Plymouth P.D. Blotter: Teenage Prostitution, Counterfeit Cash and Pot

Below are a selection of notable incidents responded to by the Plymouth Police Department between March 28 and April 2. Not intended to be a comprehensive log of activity.

Prostitution

An investigation into possible prostitution activity at a hotel on the 2900 block of Empire Lane North resulted in the arrest of two 19-year-old females from Illinois. The arrests occurred March 28 at 3:50 p.m.

Burglary

A victim on the 4000 block of Lancaster Lane reported April 2 that three tin containers of change were stolen from the residence. No sign of forced entry was observed, and loss is estimated at $30.

Controlled substance

Police stopped a driver on the 3800 block of Plymouth Boulevard just before 6:30 p.m. March 30 for a possible warrant. Driver was not the suspect but was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The strong odor of marijuana was detected during a March 30 traffic stop near the intersection of Fernbrook Lane and Harbor Lane. The vehicle was stopped for a possible driver’s license violation, and the 26-year-old female driver from Dresser, WI, was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Counterfeit

Officers responded to a report of an attempted use of a fake $20 on the 14400 block of 28th Place North just before 9 p.m. March 29. The company did not accept the money, and the suspect fled the scene.

Domestic assault

An 18-year-old male and a 21-year-old female, both from Plymouth, were arrested April 2 after officers responded to a call of a fight on the 12500 block of 24th Avenue North. Both suspects were transported to jail.

DWI

A 21-year-old male from Orono was arrested March 31 following a 2:45 a.m. traffic stop near the intersection of I-494 and Carlson Parkway. The vehicle was stopped for speeding and hitting a curb, and field sobriety tests indicated a blood alcohol level of .20.

A 23-year-old male from Plymouth was arrested March 30 after officers responded to a traffic accident on the 3600 block of Lancaster Lane North. Field sobriety tests indicated a blood alcohol level of .23.

Juvenile tobacco

Two juvenile males, ages 16 and 14, were cited for tobacco violations after a complainant on the 4000 block of Annapolis Lane North reported the attempted purchase of tobacco.
