Police Report: Secret Shopper Impersonator In Plymouth

Plymouth Police report includes fraud incidents and Plymouth man tried to escape vehicle tax.

From June 28 through July 4 the Plymouth Police Department reported 69 incidents, which included the following:

• Six instances of fraud including a credit card opened in the victim’s name with $2,504.83 charged on it July 3 on the 2800 block of Zanzibar Lane and on June 29 the complainant reported someone impersonating a secret shopper company in an attempt to scam them at a business on the 4200 block of Pineview Lane North.

• Four controlled substances

• One counterfeit

• One crime against administration in which an officer ran the license plate on a vehicle and the plates came back expired on June 28 at the intersection of Xenium Lane North and Watertower Circle. Officers discovered that the tabs that were displayed on vehicle belonged on another vehicle. The suspect, a 48-year-old Plymouth man, was arrested for intent to escape motor vehicle tax.
