Armstrong Student Wins Plymouth Art Contest

One Armstrong High School senior's artwork will be seen around the city of Plymouth in the future.

According to a Robbinsdale School District press release:

Residents and visitors of the city of Plymouth will enjoy beautiful artwork
all summer created by a student.

Senior Sam Donner’s banner design, submitted to the Plymouth Fine Arts Council banner contest, won first place in the contest. The design will be printed and hung from some of the light poles in the city this summer.

The city has a banner contest every spring in conjunction with the , which was held in April.

Armstrong High School had several entries into the show, and along with Sam’s first place finish, two other Armstrong students were commended for their work.

Seniors Josh Paavola and Austin Gardner won Awards of Excellence for their ceramic owl pot and computer drawing of a woman in a hat.
