Robbinsdale Area Schools Teacher Nominated for Teacher of the Year

Education Minnesota nominated 135 teachers in total for the award.

Robbinsdale Cooper High School teacher Kristine Browers was nominated for the 2013 Teacher of the Year award.

Browers, a science teacher, was the only teacher from Robbinsdale Area Schools to receive the nomination.

A 25-member panel of community leaders will name semifinalists and finalists in coming weeks, with the Teacher of the Year announced at a ceremony May 5 in Brooklyn Park.

According to an Education Minnesota press release, this year’s program will name the 49th Minnesota Teacher of the Year, celebrating the tradition of excellence in teaching in Minnesota. Teachers from both public and private schools were nominated.

Shakopee Public Schools had 23 teachers nominated for the award, the most out of any district in the state.

So my collection had gotten too big and I would love to share with others who may need something soft to hug
