Trojans Beat Royals, Advance to Hockey Semifinals

The Wayzata High School boys hockey team beat Hopkins 8-2 Thursday.

Wayzata High School hockey players took immediate control of the game in the 6AA hockey section quarterfinals Thursday night, scoring four goals in the first period.

The Trojan’s momentum continued in the second and third period with four additional goals, while the Royals scored only two.

Trojan Akash Batra led the game with three goals and Maxwell Zimmer followed with three assists.


On Saturday, Feb. 23, Wayzata High School faces number two seed Minnetonka High School.
