West Lutheran High School Gives to Toys for Tots

Thirty West Lutheran students participate in this annual event provided by Thrivent for Lutherans.

The season of giving has begun at West Lutheran High School!  On Sunday, December 2, 2012, thirty West Lutheran students participated in the annual Toys for Tots event.  With a $2000 donation by Thrivent for Lutherans, the students started the afternoon with a shopping trip to the Plymouth Target.  Along with 30 toys and cash gifts donated by West Lutheran families, the students brought the purchased toys to the KARE11 studios in St. Louis Park.

During the 5:00 o'clock news broadcast, West Lutheran was in the spotlight when Blake McCoy interviewed West Lutheran senior Kaitlyn Koester with the whole West Lutheran group standing behind him holding the Thrivent for Lutherans banner and donated toys.  The night ended with dinner at Davanni's also provided by Thrivent for Lutherans.
