Jake's City Grill specializes in American dishes; it is somewhat smaller, with a more intimate atmosphere, than some of the other branches of the chain eatery; however, it does offer a large dining area with plenty of booths and more than twelve tables.

The menu offers a varied selection of dishes, including its specialty salads, Angus burgers, chicken sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, pork tenderloin and steak dishes. House specialties include Jake's Pecan Crusted Pan-Fried Walleye, served with garlic mashed potatoes and tartar sauce, the BLT Sandwich and its Mesquite Prime Ribs of Beef. Side dishes like onion rings are also on the menu.

The eatery also has an event staff and provides catering services; patrons can get help with menu selection, or in arranging for a florist for their event.
