Information provided by the Wayzata High School Track Program The Wayzata boys track & field team used top individual finishes in addition to solid overall team balance to win their True Team State Championship in school history this past Friday, May 17, in Stillwater. The Trojans amassed 830 points to beat out the host school Stillwater by 23 points and Lake Conference rival Hopkins who scored 736.5 on the evening. The team won a number of events including all four of the nights relays. The state dropped two spots in the League of American Bicyclists’ annual rankings.

Minnesota is still among the top states in “bike friendliness,” but its ranking fell a couple notches in 2013, according to the League of American Bicyclists. The state was ranked fourth this year, down from second in 2012. It ranked high in legislation and enforcement, policies and programs and education and encouragement. But it was middle of the pack in infrastructure and funding and lower tier in evaluation and planning. Kristin O and Rachel B earned spots on the squad.
Two Plymouth women are on the Minnesota Vikings cheerleading team for the 2013 season. The pair, identified on the Vikings website only as Plymouth residents Kristin O and Rachel B, were among 52 candidates vying for spots on the 2013 Minnesota Vikings cheerleader roster. It is Kristin O's second year and Rachel B's first, according to a vikings.com slideshow introducing the 2013 Minnesota Vikings cheerleaders.

The Minnesota Vikings will form a 20-member cheerleading squad from 52 candidates.
Two women from Plymouth are among the candidates vying for spots on the 2013 Minnesota Vikings cheerleader roster. The Vikings website, which identifies the cheerleader candidates only by their first names and first initials of their last names, is asking visitors to vote for candidates to determine who will make the team.
