Starts Saturday: Angel's Attic Returns to Four Seasons Mall

The empty storefronts will once again be filled with new and gently used items from home to electronics, clothes, furniture and much more!

Angel’s Attic, formed by volunteers in 2010 to benefit the Angel Foundation that helps cancer victims and their families, will have its annual sale Saturday, Oct. 12 through Wednesday, Oct. 16.

For the second time, it will be located in the empty Four Seasons Mall off Highway 169 and Rockford Road in Plymouth. The abandoned storefronts will once again be filled and stocked with new and gently used items from estate sales and retailers. The sale hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.

The store space, merchandise and help are donated and more than 90 percent of proceeds go directly to Angel Foundation, which provides emergency financial assistance, education and support to local adults with cancer and their families.

With the assistance of more than 100 volunteers, this annual sale has generated $300,000 for Angel Foundation. In 2012, nearly 6,500 shoppers came to the sale.

Angel's Attic features thousands of items filling more than 90,000 square feet in the Four Seasons Mall. More than 20 departments are represented, including antiques, art, housewares, furniture, electronics, décor from around the world, designer clothing and accessories, sporting goods and more.

Angel's Attic founders Kay Melemed and Judy Kauffman, organizers of the World's Largest Garage Sale for the American Cancer Society for more than 30 years, had a desire to continue using their expertise for a good cause and created Angel's Attic in 2010 to benefit Angel Foundation.

Since 2001, Angel Foundation has provided nearly $4 million in emergency financial assistance to adults with cancer and their families and has helped more than 18,000 people through its programs. The organization awards grants to adults in active treatment for cancer in the seven-county area of the Twin Cities.

On opening day of Angel's Attic, admission costs $3. The remaining days, admission is free. On the final day, Wednesday, all merchandise is half price.
