Second Annual Plymouth Pet Expo is Oct. 26

The City of Plymouth Parks and Recreation Department will hold its second-annual Plymouth Pet Expo 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Plymouth Creek Center Fieldhouse, 14800 34th Ave. N. in Plymouth.

The expo will feature more than 30 vendors specializing in pet care, pet rescues, merchandise, expertise and other products and services that relate to domestic pets.

Twins Cities Disc Dog Club will hold the Skyhoundz DiscDogathon, a Frisbee competition, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the expo again this year. The Plymouth Police Department will hold K9 demonstrations at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. The event will also feature rabbit agility.

“Last year was the first year we held a Pet Expo – and it was a really popular event,” said Recreation Supervisor Dan Lauer. The Pet Expo was attended by almost 900 visitors last year. “It was high energy and a lot of fun. People really enjoyed it.”

Bouncy inflatables will be available for children. Jake's City Grille will sell concession food items from its food truck.

“We hope the expo will provide something for everyone – from pet fanatics to casual pet admirers,” said Lauer. “We are excited to be able to offer community businesses a chance to showcase their love for all pets through unique products and services.”

Cost is $3 per person. Ages 12 and younger will be admitted at no charge. Proceeds will benefit the Plymouth Dog Park.
