Plymouth’s Taylor Cammarata Should Hear Name in Sunday's NHL Draft

The local star has played for Shattuck-St. Mary's and the Waterloo Blackhawks.

Cammarata has committed to play for the University of Minnesota next year and is one of several incoming freshman expected to be picked up in the draft. 

Cammarata enters the draft with no small share of recognition. On June 5, he received USA Hockey’s Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year award at the organization’s annual Night of Tribute Awards Dinner in Colorado Springs, CO.

He has played for Shattuck-St. Mary’s and the Waterloo Blackhawks. In his last season with the Blackhawks, his 38 goals and 93 points led the United States Hockey League, according to Elite Prospects.

The draft kicks off at 2 p.m. CST at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. It can be watched on NBC Sports Network and TSN.
